Rocking Heart Ranch Events
It is the belief of our family that we must do what we can to endorse agriculture and the equine way of life for the next generation. To help with that belief we are committed to hosting numerous equine events that will provide opportunities for education, promotion of the next generation, and fellowship amongst horse lovers of all ages and stages. Below are some examples of events we will run and we encourage you to check out the individual pages for each type.
Clinics- we will host a myriad of clinicians on the ranch in our arena and our outdoor obstacle course yearly. Clinics will typically run April through October and include a wide range of topics from general horsemanship to specific disciplines. The goal is to provide an equine education point in Southwest Alberta.
Obstacle Play Days- these are monthly times where you can challenge your horse and yourself while meeting fellow horse lovers as you strive to improve your connection with your horse while you work through a myriad of obstacles.
Weanling Challenge and Ranch Showcase- this event typically happens late October/early November and is free for public to attend. It is a day long event that showcases the next generation as they compete with foundational halter breaking skills for the current year's foal crop, while also showcasing horses between the ages of 3-5 that have been broke under saddle.
Ranch Open House- this is a yearly event held each summer where you can come out for a fun day exploring the ranch including the year's foal crop and take in a 1/2 day educational session to help you further your education.
Cowgirl Camp- is a new event that will be coming in 2023 and will be a series of sessions where ladies can come out and learn everything from horsemanship, equine yoga, engaging women in the industry, and more. Stay tuned as more details are fleshed out.
